Drakfesten på Gärdets 60 år

Welcome to the KITE KICK OFF, with Flying Kites for Peace!

1965 students from Konstfack started flying kites at Gärdet in Stockholm, a big party for all ages and a very special day that is now celebrating 60 years now May 24. One of these original students formed the organisation "Flying Kites for Peace" would like to invite you all to a talk in Svarta Havet 9 April. We will touch on festive moments from these 60 years of kite flying partys! How did it all start? What happened? What now?

14:00 kite-making workshop with Martin Skoog and Birgitta Adolfsson

16:00 Bengt Benedictio Carling together with Isa Winter Maxe in a talk about "Drakfesten på Gärdets 60 år"(the kite flying festival) and Flying Kites for Peace with a special guest appearance from Konstfacks neighbour the Mosaik Theatre

17:30 Opening of the exhibition "One world, one sky" by Flying Kites for Peace and music of Mihail Dinchev in the Konstfack union gallery
